The period had composers like Monteverdi and Vivaldi. The period was also characterized by polyphonic approach and the grassroots form of the period was type of the three parts and it also incorporated the binary form. For instance, most of the instrumental forms like sonata and symphony were invented in the Baroque period barely they were used in the classical era.
